My Favourite Jojoba Oil Products

These products were gifted to me for my consideration. Information like active ingredients were sourced from https://www.thejojobacompany.com.au

The Oily Skin Balancer is a real game changer for me. I've tried similar oil-based products that are meant to do the same but they just don't work as well as this one. There is a slight scent to this from the addition of essential oils. I found this very effective for regulating the oil on my t-zone. I have combination dehydrated skin. As it includes anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, I also felt quite reassured using this product on the chronic acne on my jaw area (read more about that at https://www.teacupofmakeup.com/single-post/How-Murad-Changed-My-Life).

All Jojoba Oil products have anti-aging properties. It is also hypoallergenic; non-pore clogging; and is rich in vitamins, antioxidants and omegas.

The active ingredients include:

  • jojoba

  • akoactive® nily lily

  • juniperberry oil

  • parsley seed oil

  • grapeseed oil

Definite one to try if you have oily/combination skin. It works really well under makeup as well.

I do have some hyper pigmentation on my cheeks which also include freckles. I used this over a period of about 4 weeks, specifically on the areas of my face that had pigmentation. I saw some improvement. I've now given this to my mother-in-law and she has said that she enjoys it very much. This one also is slightly scented - a very calming scent that gives it an extra sensorial experience.

The active ingredients include:

  • jojoba

  • rumex

  • carrot

  • abyssinan oil

  • buriti oil

  • vitamin E

  • vitamin C

I've really enjoyed using the original version. This one is 100% pure jojoba oil.

It's great for the hair too. I particularly liked that the dispenser was a pump. I guess I find it easier to apply the oil. I've used it on my hands, my body, my hair and also to help speed up the healing process of a third degree burn I suffered from. It makes my skin very silky smooth. You really only need a few drops. I also love its natural golden colour. I find that to be one of its most attractive features. I've used this one for over a year now.

It's really nice applied with a jade/rose quartz roller.

Though I do have a 10 step skincare process on the days I wear makeup, I am generally a very lazy person on "no-makeup" days. I also have a huge preference for anything that comes as a mist. It's just so easy to apply! I've also enjoyed this one because it is a bit lighter than the oils above. I've used it on my face, body and hair. It smells really refreshing. If you keep it in the fridge, it will give you a real "wake-me-up" experience. I love using this in the morning on my "no-makeup" days.

This mist is packed full of potent antioxidants such as jojoba, ginkgo biloba, kakadu plum, green tea, bilberry and vitamin E. I love the chamomile scent that it has. You can also use this as a toner to remove left over traces of dirt and makeup. It is also supposed to help tighten the pores.

The active ingredients include:

  • jojoba

  • kakadu plum ( a fruit native to Australia that is packed full of vitamin C)

  • chamomile

  • gingko biloba

  • green tea

  • vitamin E

Getting your product certified organic is not an easy process. My fairly basic understanding of the process is that there are very rigorous production standards to abide by. The farmers are generally required to also ensure that there are "buffer zones" to avoid contamination from roadways and fallow areas; tree and shrub zones along borders; and/or sections of crops or produce that shall be deemed uncertified along relevant boundaries. Generally, buffer zones are determined on a case by case basis, but as a general guideline, the Australian standards refer to a buffer zone of at least 15 metres around the farm.

Other than the fact that this oil is certified organic, it is similar in properties and use as the original.
