About Sudio

Let's start with the comfort level. They are "in-ear" headphones. They do include a few different sizes of the "latex" casing to allow you to tailor the fit. I found the comfortable enough to actually forget that I had them in my ear. They did not feel weighty and when turned off but still worn, it is hardly noticeable.

The texture of them is a matte rubber. The metal is designed in rose gold in circles. The metal part is the "function button" - switch on/off; increase/decrease volume.

The technical functions are:

  • Features a graphene driver for enhanced sound clarity

  • Automatic pairing between earbuds and device

  • Features a microphone on both earbuds

  • Features a single, multipurpose button on each earbud to control music/phone calls

  • Weighs 4.5 grams per earbud

  • Up to 35 hours play time

  • Sweat resistant

  • Built in microphone

  • 15 meters range

  • Bluetooth version 5.0

  • Voice assisted supporting (Siri and Google Assistant)

The TOLV is available in five colours

It charges by mini USB and the charge time is remarkably short for up to 35 hours play time.

As they are "in-ear", I find them very effective in blocking out external noises even without any music on.

The charger and case are incorporated. It roughly measures 6 cm in length and 3 cm in width. There is a useful leather cord attached, which you can easily hang on to your bag or even the belt loops on your pants.

It is a very compact design and clever that the case is the portable charger.

The case almost looks a bit like a pebble. It is held closed with magnets. There is a very satisfying click/snap when you close it.

In terms of Bluetooth connectivity, I've found that on rare occasions that if I have a few devices around with Bluetooth on, my TOLV gets a bit confused and one side might connect to one device and the other side to another. A fairly easy fix. Just turn off the Bluetooth on the other devices.

With both earphones in the case, the total unit weighs roughly under 15 grams.

The rose gold circles are made from metal and have a circular texture (embossed with circles within circles) - it gives me a sensorial experience when i hold it in my hand and rub over the contrasting texture of the matte rubber and the metal.

The little dot of lights indicate whether they are charging or are on. If they light up in red, they are charging. When in the process of connecting they blink blue on and off. When connected and in use, they light up in blue.

Sound quality and clarity was perfect. I like to listen to minimalistic classical music by contemporary composers.

The in-ear covers can be replaced. Sudio provides 4 extra ones. Three are in different sizes.

You wear them with the wider part facing up in your ears. Once you have the right size of the ear bud covers, they didn't fall out even if I was running.

As noted above, it charged by mini USB. In the box, they do include a mini USB cord but it works as well with any other mini USB cords.

The metal contacts are gold-plated. The best for electricity conductivity and aids speed of charging.

The only down-side to the TOLV was that I found that the matte rubber surface did get stained fairly quickly just by rubbing against coloured surfaces. It can start looking dirty. Depending on what caused the stain, some were easy enough to remove with water and cloth. Others were just impossible to remove.

I was also sent the limited edition Sudio Tote Bag. It is roughly 39 cm in vertical length; 35 in horizontal width; and 9 cm in depth. It fits quite a lot and is made of study material. I can fit my laptop, a few books, and my pencil/portable hard drive pouch.

So I hope you enjoyed this article and found it useful. I'm pretty much on my social media platforms in some way or fashion 7 days a week. I hope you enjoyed this review.
