My Thoughts on Prai Scent of a Woman Eau de Parfum :

The Bottle: The bottle is stunning. Heavily encrusted with crystals. The gold squares and little crystals on them reflect the light in such a pretty way. It looks luxe and feels luxe (rather heavy glass bottle). I did think it looked a bit dated amongst my perfume collection with their minimalist packaging. It is a bit '80s/90s when everyone wanted to cover phones etc with crystals? My husband thought it looked a bit like a bejewelled lego cube.

The Scent: Interestingly, I did not get that "alcohol" hit at first mist. Usually, for most EDPs I can detect the alcohol (common ingredient) in them but not with this EDP. At first, I smelt rose and bergamot. It is a sweet scent. I then got the citrus notes of grapefruit and mandarine. My first impressions of this EDP was that it is a "friendly" fragrance, meaning it should appeal to most people. Even though there are so many notes in the mix, it did not smell like acomplex scent.

The Dry Down: As it drys down, the sweetness eases just a bit. I got notes of honey, sweet flowers and patchouli. I did also get some sandalwood. It stayed on for a good 6-7 hours. As it further dries down, the woody notes of patchouli and sandalwood become stronger. The rose and citrus notes also remained quite strongly.

The Tastes: My mouth was "filled" with honey infused with rose and orange blossoms.

The Colours: Pink, with gold tones.

The Feelings: This reminded me of my mother. My mother did not wear any perfumes (she was a very thrifty woman). It is hard to describe it in that sense, but it evoked some rare good memories of my mother. It felt caring, loving and warm. Definitely comes across as a "scent of a woman".

The Wear Time: As noted above, a good 6-7 hours. As I usually also apply perfumes to my chest area (my "heart chakra"), I noted that it lingered all day till I took a shower.

Suggested occasions to wear this: This is a good every day scent. It is definitely a very feminine scent that is reminds me a little of Marc Jacobs Daisy. It is not an overwhelming fragrance so you could wear this to school or work or for special occasions. A good scent for any occasion.

Overall: A pleasant fragrance that most people will like. It is no wonder that it is the No. 1 selling EDP on TVSN (Australia's No. 1 TV Shopping Channel). The price point is fairly reasonable. Due to its friendliness, I think this EDP would appeal to a wide range of ages (lates teens up to 70s).

Prai Scent of a Woman Lust Eau De Parfum - Blue Bottle

It is described by TVSN/Prai as:

"WEAR IF YOU LUST. This evocative and sensuous perfume will give you the confidence to boldly pursue your deepest desires. Punchy peach and passionfruit immediately awaken your senses while seductive citrus notes of Mandarin flirt with hypnotic sandalwood and sweet vanilla to embody the duality of your sweet and sultry side. This complex fusion of bright florals, fresh fruity notes and rich exotic ingredients creates the perfect fragrance for a woman that knows what she wants and isn't afraid to get it."

Top notes: Mandarin Pulp, Passion Fruit, Peach Nectar

Middle notes: Tiare Flower, Bulgarian Rose, White Peony, Orange flower

Base notes: Creamy Sandalwood, Ambroxan, Tonka, Vanilla, Musk, Patchouli Oil Indonesia for Life, Coconut Milk

My Thoughts on Prai Scent of a Woman Lust Eau De Parfum:

The Bottle: Similar to the original "Scent of a Woman" (the "Original"), this is also heavily encrusted with crystals. Instead of the large gold squares, there are sapphire blue squares. My thoughts on the packaging are the same as the Original. Luxe and luxe feeling (heavy glass), but a bit dated.

The Scent: Ohh this is very grape/berry like. Similar to the Original, none of that sharp alcohol at first mist. I like these scents for that. Who wants to get that scent of alcohol at the beginning, no matter how lovely the scent is? Lots of blueberry came across as well. With the vanilla note, it reminded me of blueberry bubble gum. It is a very sweet scent.

The Dry Down: As it dries down, you get the interesting notes of coconut milk, tonka, musk and sandalwood. The dry down is "tropical".

The Tastes: At first it was like blueberry bubble gum, then it became more like a berry flavoured coconut drink. Quite tasty. Yummy.

The Colours: At first blue (as impacted influenced by the packaging) but then it became more like tropical colours. I saw a bouquet of "Bird of Paradise" flowers.

The Feelings: I felt transported to a tropical beach. I felt like I was under a cabana, sipping a fancy cocktail made with lush fruits and coconut milk. Though a very sweet scent, this scent made me feel calm and somewhat elated.

The Wear Time: A good 6-7 hours like the Original. Similar to the Original, it lingered on my chest area (my "heart chakra"), till I took a shower.

Suggested occasions to wear this: Sunny days by the pool. Cocktail hour. Girls' Night. This is a "fun time" scent.

Overall: My husband preferred Lust over the Original. I think it is because it is not as feminine of a scent. I did not have a preference for this over the Original. To me, both were equally pleasant. I do note that Lust is much sweeter than the Original. Again, I think it might appeal to a wide range of ages.
