On Tuesday this week, I got the chance to preview all of the upcoming 2019 Holidays releases exclusive to Mecca.
In this article, you will get to see a mixture of photos and videos from the Mecca Holiday 2019 Preview. I've also archives my Instastories on my Instagram Profile @teacupofmakeup_luxe under "MECCA2019".
This is very heavy on the photos and videos article. I wasn't able to get the names of all the sets nor the prices, so I have left those out for now. Once I get them, I'll be doing my 2019 Gift Guide.
Mecca Holiday 2019 Preview
I've covered the preview in the order of the following sections:
Mecca Cosmetica (in-house brand)
Mecca Max (in-house brand)
These are all from brands exclusive to Mecca Cosmetic and Mecca Maxima.

About this year's packaging
Mecca has had the tradition of commissioning women to create artwork that forms the backbone to each Holiday release. This year's beautiful artwork comes from Tammy Kanat. I LOVE what she has done. These specially commissioned artworks make each year's packaging (boxes and bags) collectible pieces of art
Watch the clip below to see the Artist, Tammy Kanat.
The artwork is comprised of two separate sections. Each handwoven by the artist. In some of the photos above, you can see the materials used. I had a close look of each piece and each one has been painstakingly put together.
The bright colours and intricate designs make this year's artwork one of my faves so far.
I think you are going to LOVE this year's stocking stuffers and Christmas Tree decorations. Some of them are also found under Must-Have Makeup; Mecca Cosmetic and Mecca Maxima. I've already got my eyes on few.
The Skincare Sets were divided into more affordable brands to the Luxe brands. I think each set represents great value for someone wanting to try the best of each brand.
Luxury Gift Sets
This. Is. My. Happy. Place. Wondrous to behold.
There is now a larger carousel/windmill topper for the regular sized candles. It is different this year as each charm that dangles down has more intricate cut-outs of whimsical creatures like a lady bug.
The mini (not so mini) trio set comes with the carousel topper (which has been very popular since introduced in 2017). This is one set not to be missed if you are a Diptyque fan.
The glass jar behind is a beautiful piece to have on display. It fits all regular sized Diptyque candles and I can image when the candle is lit up and placed within, just how pretty the light cast by it will be. I'm not sure but it could be hand-blown glass.
Lots of cute and cool kits from brands like Too Faced; Urban Decay; Bare Minerals; and Smashbox. Along with the uber cool "Studio 54" NARS collection. The Annual Limited Edition Hourglass palette comes in two choices as well.
I particularly LOVE makeup, so let's start with one of my favourite brands: NARS. This year's collection is all about disco and disco was all about Studio 54, a famous night club in NYC that hosted famous people like Andy Warhol, during the "disco movement".
Expect some very pretty cool palettes and kits. The packaging is glitzy with lots of sequins.
The colour palette is very "disco barbie" with hot pinks and golds.
This one is the stand-out. The shades chosen are gorgeous and very wearable. PLUS you get the cool star embossing. It is almost to pretty use. I suspect that this one will sell out in seconds.
Gorgeous packaging. It also has the sharpener in-built into the box (it is on the right hand side at the bottom).
The Too Faced 2019 Holiday Collection is packed with goodies. There are stocking stuffers, tree ornaments, sets galore and a NEW eyeshadow palette: Gingerbread Extra Spicy Palette.
More close ups below.
The big sparkly Gingerbread man behind is a pencil case containing a bronzer; lipstick and mascara. Totally adorbs.
The packaging is super cute "bite me!". The shades a VERY wearable and I like the addition of that bright cranberry shade. Definitely a must-have.
Value and packaging wise, I think the Too Faced Let It Snow Set is a great pick from the Too Faced Holiday Collection. You get a "doll" with three palettes.
The Hourglass 2019 Holiday Collection includes the two palettes (in silver), the eye foils and a brush set. The palettes are a must-have. The brushes feel really nice and include a variety of eye brushes and smaller face brushes.
When Laura Mercier came out with her first highlighter trio (and the embossed highlighters), there was a riot to buy them. This year, she has two. One warm toned and the other pale. Excuse me if I sound greedy but Dear Santa, I would love both.
I really loved last year's Kevyn Aucoin holiday eyeshadow palette. This year, it is a face and eyes palette. The green shade is perfection.
The Mecca Cosmetica Holiday Sets are very lovely. I think the desirability of the products (and they do perform at a high level - qualities very good) is enhanced by this year's Mecca Holiday packaging.
I really liked the brush set. The brushes are super soft and light. The "purse" that it comes in, is so soft (I'm sure it's faux leather). It has a section with a zipper where you can store your makeup. Perfect for travel; an/or for your bag for touch-ups. The light blush tone and the gold accents make this brush set very elegant and desirable.
This is the Mecca Cosmetic, blush/lip and highlighter duo. The packaging is SO pretty. I love how the little boxes open on both sides. I was saying to the Mecca team that if I had the money, I would have a display of these set out for my guests near the front door as "holiday house gifts". The quality and practicability of this duo is excellent.
Mecca Max is 100% vegan. Their products are priced affordably and perform remarkably well. I'm always almost surprised by how good they are. The Holiday 2019 sets are targeted at the younger crowd (teens to early twenties) and include stickers for decorations.
This bag was the first thing that caught my eye. I like the bag!!! It is eyeshadow palettes; brushes, highlighters; lip gloss; and mascara. A really good gift for someone wanting to try out makeup.
EEKS! So adorbs. They've included minis of the fabulous liquid lights. Very pretty.
There are so many great palettes to choose from. I swatched a few of them and they were all very buttery smooth and pigmented. The big one is only AU$55 and it has everything you need. Perfect for someone in Uni or starting their first job.
Well, it definitely looks like it's going to be a very Jolly 2019 Holiday Season. Thank you to Mecca for inviting me to the preview.
